OK, Ben Meisner is no longer with the Komets. He was signed by the CHL's Allen Americans. But this might be something you will enjoy.

K's make final cuts

The Komets, who open the regular season Saturday against the Rapid City Rush, made their finals cuts by parting ways with forwards Joe Bluhm and Brant Marple on Thursday.

Bluhm had one goal and two points in the Komets' two exhibition games. Marple was scoreless.

I'm awaiting a call back, but I'm assuming this means defenseman Keith Rodger is going to start the season on injured reserve because of his back.

Also, because the Komets' roster had to be in by today, this also means they will get no players assigned to them by the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets yet.
