Eyeing IU

IU down at halftime

Arkansas State quarterback Ryan Aplin scored his second rushing touchdown, giving the Red Wolves a 14-12 lead over Indiana at halftime.

Alpin scored on a 4-yard run. He got hit as he neared the goal line and fumbled. The play was originally ruled a touchdown recovery by lineman Sifa Etu. But it was later ruled that Aplin reached the end zone before fumbling.

Indiana scored on a 7-yard touchdown from Ben Chappell to Tandon Doss with 40 seconds remaining in the half to get within 14-12. The Hoosiers went for a two-point conversion, but Chappell threw an incomplete pass.

Chappell has thrown for 185 yards. He has been sacked twice. Doss has six catches for 75 yards.

Mitchell Evans has two interceptions. The second, in the second quarter, set up a 34-yard field goal by Mitch Ewald.
