    The IPFW women’s volleyball was picked to finish second in the Summit League preseason poll of the league’s head coaches. The Mastodons received 53 points. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams.

What you'll see is a blistering-hot IPFW women's volleyball team that just beat Wright State 3-0 in a non-conference match Tuesday at the Gates Center.

What that is is the eighth straight win for the Mastodons (15-8).

IPFW and Southern Utah are tied for the lead in the Summit League, and the Mastodons will begin a tough three-game road trip Friday when they play at Centenary. They will move to Tulsa, Okla. to play Oral Roberts in a Sunday match, then return home (sort of) before going to play Oakland Oct. 29.
