The Sundogs accused the Komets of showboating after their 2-1 victory Saturday night.
After the game came to a close, Fort Wayne made an attempt to humiliate the Sundogs on their home ice, celebrating around their goal.
"They really made a point to try to (anger) us when they tried to embarrass us at the end of the game," (Goalie Doug) Groenestege said. "They get their first win, they've won three championships and they're acting like it's their first win in franchise history."
Groenestege said the team wouldn't forget what happened.
I did look at the tape and it was hard to tell much because the camera wasn't on it. You see the Komets start to skate toward their goalie, as almost every team in the stratosphere does, and you can see the Arizona players yapping at the Komets.
That's about it.
Maybe it's just not a good account from this newspaper, but what team doesn't celebrate around its net after a victory?
I'd love to hear more from someone who was at the game.
