With the regular season in football done for another year, I couldn't help but take a peak to the 2011 campaign.
And specifically if the bye games that Bishop Dwenger and Snider had this year will be repeated next season.
The answer is no and hopefully not.
Bishop Dwenger, the five-time reigning conference champions, has a two-year deal in place for its open game in Week 7 with Indianapolis Bishop Chatard.
That should be a good matchup between the Class 4A Saints and 3A Trojans, two successful Catholic school programs that have combined for 12 state championships.
Snider, on the other hand, still has a void for its Week 4 next week.
Athletic director Russ Isaacs, who is in his second year as AD after being the long-time football coach, said he was still in the market for a ninth opponent.
This could also change too, depending on the status of SAC member Harding, which could close for a year or maybe longer come next year. Remember it was the closing of Elmhurst last spring that caused the voids in the Saints' and Panthers' schedules in the first place.
