Well, apparently all those defensive guys whining last week that they couldn't possibly play the game without trying to maim guys on every tackle were, um, overreacting a bit. As pretty much predicted here on the Blob.
Indeed, the NFL actually praised the players for adhering to the new guidelines, on a Sunday in which not a single penalty was called for a helmet-to-helmet hit.
And you know what?
Guys still made tackles. Defense was still played. And people still watched the games.
So what was all the fuss about again?
Oh, yeah. Nothing.
