I love this World Series.
You've got two teams that weren't supposed to be here, first of all. Two teams that play hard and never give in. Two long-suffering fan bases, which means one of them is finally going to make it inside the velvet rope.
The best part, though, is that because we don't know either of these teams all that well, predicting what's going to happen is an absolutely delicious mystery.
On paper anyway, the Giants have the deeper rotation and the better bullpen. The Rangers have the more explosive offense and the less-shaky defense. They also have Cliff Lee, which tends to even the scales.
So ... I'm going Rangers in seven, but not until the Giants fight them to the last out. And for some weird reason, I think Vlad Guerrero is going to do something heroic. I don't know what. Just something.
