Honoring Sullivan

Notre Dame and Tulsa players will have decals on their helmets in honor of Declan Sullivan.

Sullivan, a 20-year-old junior from Long Grove, Ill., died Wednesday when the scissor lift he was filming Irish practice from fell over in strong wind.

The decal is a shamrock with the initials “DS” in the center of it.

Notre Dame players began warmups in long-sleeve, white shirts with a large version of the shambrock with Sullivan's initials.

After the teams reach the field before kickoff, there will be a moment of silence and Notre Dame President Ft. John Jenkins will say a prayer on the field for Sullivan and his family.
