Did you expect these things?

Did you expect this to be the case four games into the Komets season? They are 1-2-1 and have been outscored 5-11.

How about these things?

  • They have at least eight goals fewer than any other team in the Central Hockey League. They have 28 fewer than Allen, which has played three more games.
  • Fort Wayne has only one even-strength goal.
  • P.C. Drouin, Brandon Naurato, Sean O'Connor and Lincoln Kaleigh Shrock have yet to score.
  • The Komets don't have a single player with a positive plus/minus rating.
There are really only a few good statistics:

  • The defense ranks third, allowing 2.75 goals per game.
  • Goaltender Kevin Reiter's save percentage is .939.
  • Nick Boucher's is .915.
What do you think about this early schedule? Having only one home game thus far has sapped a little of the energy around the community, it feels like to me.
