Two knitters started a blog in 2003 and it has grown to be somewhat of an empire.
The books they have written so far are interesting and stuffed full of great patterns and neat little tidbits.
I may have bought the book because it used the term "warshrag" seriously. My grandmother says that.
I also like flipping through my books because they sometimes become little time capsules of what I have done with them. In this case, I packed up this book and some worsted-weight cotton yarn I received in a Ravelry swap and took it on a vacation in 2008.
I remember taking the book on that particular vacation, but I can actually prove it, too, because I used the receipt for my gas to get there as a bookmark.
And, any good knitter knows that a bookmark is a great scratch pad for on-the-fly yarn substitution math.
