K's lose again, now 2-5-1

The Komets' struggles continued with a 3-2 loss at Evansville on Friday night.

Their record in their inaugural Central Hockey League season dropped to a league-worst 2-5-1, while 10 of their 12 goals have required power plays.

Both their goals at Swonder Arena came with the man-advantage. They were scored by center Leo Thomas and defenseman Frankie DeAngelis. The IceMen's goals came from Bo Cheesman, Nick Lindberg and Jordan Lane.

Fort Wayne goaltender Nick Boucher stopped 31 of 34 shots. Matt Lundin stopped 33 of 35 for Evansville.

The Komets play Saturday at Independence, Mo.
