I made tiny Klein bottles for my professors when I was about to finish my undergraduate degree in 2001.
I sat in class, knitting away, on #4 double-pointed needles, with some yarn that was hand-spun and hand-dyed by a weaver in North Carolina. I expected one of them to stop me when he paused during his lecture on Quantum Mechanics.
Instead, he stopped by my chair, stared at me, and said, "Man, I could NEVER do that."
