The Art Farm, the home and studio of Lisa Vetter and Paul Siefert, will have a holiday open house beginning this Friday (Nov. 26). The Art Farm studio will be open to visitors Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. this weekend and each weekend in December except Christmas weekend.
The Art Farm was on the Rural Artist's Studio tour that I wrote about last week, and I had the chance to go check out the studio and the couple's work. I'm glad I did.
So, if you're looking for something unique this holiday season, you may want to visit the Art Farm and consider handmade.
In addition to mixed media work by Vetter and Siefert, the Art Farm will have work of several local artists in various mediums. They are:
Fiber: Martha Bishop, Kendra Krumpe and Karla Yauchler
Ceramics: Michelle Smith and Marcia Stauffer
Prints: Angela Bond
Metral: Cherie Haney
Glass: Nancy Noble
Paintings: Jan McMurtry-Arnold
For more information, checkout the Art Farm on Facebook or checkout the artists' website. And, trust me, if you want to head out there, pay attention to the driving directions they provide, not the ones you will come across on various Internet mapping programs.
