Notre Dame's Tyler Eifert is having a pretty nice week.
The former Bishop Dwenger standout set a career high with 78 receiving yards Saturday in a 27-3 win over Army in Yankee Stadium. He also had a touchdown in that game after having one taken away.
And Wednesday, Eifert was named the John Mackey Tight End of the Week.
Eifert is the second Irish tight end to pick up the weekly honor this season. Kyle Rudolph, who Eifert replaced in the starting lineup after the junior was lost for the season because of an ankle injury, was the Week 2 winner.
