Eyeing IU

Keys to the game

Keys to the game

Indiana improved to 5-0 for the first time since the 2002-03 season, defeating North Carolina Central 72-56.

Here are some of the highlights.

Key number: 30. IU's bench outscored NC Central's 30-4. Derek Elston returned from a leg injury to score 9 points. Daniel Moore added seven.

That's a fact: Indiana outrebounded NC Central 35-30. The Hoosiers have won the rebounding battle in all five of its games.

"We got a lot of good basketball from different people, to go 30 points off the bench is a real positive for us. It was good to have Derek back. That's not a CNN newsflash. It was good to have him there scoring in the post, being aggressive and alert, playing with a lot of energy. I thought he did an excellent job defensively and on the defensive glass.

"It was good to have Matt (Roth) back. It was the first time all year that we've had everybody available to play for us, so that was a positive."
