’Twas the night before Thanksgiving and all through the kitchen,
Not a person was cooking, since dining out was their mission.
Here are more local restaurants serving holiday fare this week.
•Celebrate early during the annual Turkey Eve Party at 5 p.m. today at the Lucky Moose, 615 Dupont Road. The seafood buffet is available until 9 p.m. For $12.95, you can feast on crawfish, shrimp, catfish, tilapia, salmon, ribs, chicken, the salad bar and dessert. From 9 p.m. to midnight, enjoy free appetizers and live music. The buffet also will be open at the same time Friday and Saturday, for the same price.
•Get ready with a “Thanksgiving rehearsal dinner” from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Moosewood BBQ in the Marketplace of Canterbury. Enjoy all-you-can-eat ribs, catfish, tilapia or chicken for $10, which also includes the salad bar.
•Dicky’s Wild Hare, 2910 Maplecrest Road, has a Turkey Eve Party at 9 p.m. today. The pizza buffet is $6, and pints of microbrews are $4. Phil & Andy will perform. Cover charge is a canned food donation.
•Fort Wayne Marriott, 305 E. Washington Center Road, will have a buffet from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday with prime rib, smoked ham, roasted turkey, pecan-crusted orange roughy, sausage-stuffed chicken, cold seafood station, salads, breads and desserts. It’s $33 for adults, $16 for kids 5 to 12 and free for children 4 and younger. Reservations are required; call 484-0411.
•Sara’s Family Restaurant, 5792 Coventry Lane, will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday with the regular menu, plus $8.99 specials available at 10:30 a.m. They are turkey with stuffing or ham with green bean casserole. Both include mashed potatoes, cranberries and a side. For $1 more, add a slice of pumpkin or coconut cream pie. Kids 10 and younger can have a Thanksgiving meal for $4.99.
Pumpkin cheesecake at Purple Mountain
Purple Mountain Cheesecakes and Desserts Inc., 424 E. Wayne St., is offering a special holiday flavor through Tuesday: pumpkin with white-chocolate ganache, for $35.
Each weighs nearly 5 pounds and feeds about 14 people.

DeBrand offers tours, makes Oprah’s list
DeBrand Fine Chocolates will offer tours of its store at 10105 Auburn Park Drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
They are $5 a person, and include a $5 rebate on a purchase of $10 or more.

The $12 box features five molded chocolates. Flavors are tahini, ginger, java, hazel and caliente (with chili powder, cinnamon and cumin).
Brunch cheaper at Marriott steakhouse
Fort Wayne Marriott’s Red River Steakhouse has reduced its Sunday brunch price to $9.95.
It includes all-you-can-eat eggs, breakfast meats, waffles, biscuits and gravy, fruit and yogurt, oatmeal, pastries and breads.
Or get French toast, pancakes, omelets, bagels and pastries, or cereal a la carte.
Hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Rittenhouse takes party reservations
The Rittenhouse in Bluffton is taking reservations for holiday parties.
Rates start at $10 per person, which typically includes appetizer, soup or salad, entrée (such as chicken, pasta or pork) and beverage. They do not include tax or gratuity.
For groups of 10 or more, the restaurant has three private dining rooms.

•Old Crown Coffee Roasters, 3417 N. Anthony Blvd., will have a free Scotch whisky tasting from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. You also can buy whiskey-themed menu items and cocktails.
•A Panda Express will open at 6205 Lima Road.
•Blueberry Hill Pancake House, 3710 E. State Blvd., apparently has closed.
