Komets losing 1-0

Maybe I shouldn't have made that crack about Jamie Lovell yesterday.

The former Port Huron defenseman scored the lone goal of the first period, during a power play, with a shot from the left circle, and the Bloomington PrairieThunder lead the Komets 1-0.

Fort Wayne looked stupendous early -- their power play looked particularly sharp -- but Lovell's goal has taken some of the life out of them.

It was Lovell's first goal of the season.

Tab Lardner looks pretty good so far in his Fort Wayne debut; he had the first shot of the game.

As expected, the Komets are playing without Derek Patrosso (concussion), Danko Mironovic (concussion) and Olivier Legault.
