The Hurricanes are the second best pass defense (126.3 yards per game), No. 16 total defense (317.2) and No. 21 scoring defense (19.7).

But there is a slight weakness in rush defense. Miami is No. 81 against the run, giving up 170.8 yards per game.

On offense, Miami is No. 31 in total yards (422.6 per game), No. 26 in rushing (190.4), No. 49 in passing (232.2) and No. 58 in scoring (27.1).
