Irish lead Boilers at half

No. 16 Notre Dame scored 20 points off Purdue's 14 turnovers and leads 36-26 at halftime at Purcell Pavilion.

The Boilermakers look out of sync for the second consecutive game without forward Drey Mingo, though there's probably only so much she could do helping with better movement and passing on offense.

Purdue shot 42 percent, but it had only two baskets in the first 10 minutes. Courtney Moses has made three of four shots and has seven points, but the freshman point guard also has three turnovers.

Brittany Rayburn has six points and five rebounds, and Purdue has a 19-17 edge on the boards at half.

Notre Dame's Skylar Diggins has made 7 of 12 shots for 14 points. Purdue started Moses on Diggins but also has used Chantel Poston and Dee Dee Williams to defend Diggins. Diggins, a left-hander, has made several tough pull-ups after getting into the lane.

The Irish leading scorer, Natalie Novosel, has only four points and two turnovers.
