Ants execs can exhale now

How long can an Ant hold its breath?

In the case of coach Joey Meyer and the front office, including president Jeff Potter, two and a half days.

That's how long it took between a Saturday night knee injury to rookie guard Chris Kramer and Tuesday afternoon's announcement that the former Huntington North and Purdue standout suffered a medial knee strain, and will be out only two to three weeks.

In practice on Tuesday morning, Meyer said he was worried that Kramer would need surgery.

It's good news for a team that is off to a 4-2 start in the NBA D-League, thanks to a 2-0 road trip at Maine and Springfield, Mass.

The Ants, who have 6-foot-11 center Chris Hunter back from his own knee injury, will play Texas this Saturday and Sunday at Memorial Coliseum.
