Meteor shower viewing Monday

A Geminid meteor shower viewing will be held at Pokagon State Park from 8 to 10 p.m. Monday.

The viewing will be held on the park’s CCC Shelter lawn.

In case of clouds, call the nature center before 4 p.m. at 260-833-2012 or Potawatomi Inn after 4 p.m. at 260-833-1077.

Hunter safety course in February

A free, two-day course in hunter safety education will be provided Feb. 5 and 12 by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the Allen County 4-H Shooting Sports Program.

The courses will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Allen County Extension office, 4001 Crescent Ave.

Participants must attend both days.

Pre-registration is required, and participants are encouraged to bring a sack lunch.
