Ryan Kerrigan gained another first-team All-American honor when he landed on the Associated Press team on Tuesday.
Kerrigan already has been named first team by the American Football Coaches Association, the Walter Camp Football Foundation and the Football Writers Association of America.
Only six Purdue players have been "unanimous" All-Americans, the school said in a release. The last were quarterback Mark Herrmann and tight end Dave Young in 1980. The Sporting News is releasing its team on Dec. 20.
Receiver Taylor Stubblefield was the last Boilermaker to earn first team AP honors in 2004. Fort Wayne native Rod Woodson was Purdue's last defensive player to earn the honor in 1986.
Kerrigan had 26 tackles for a loss and 12.5 sacks.
