Jordan returning to Fort Wayne

Dane Fife missed out the first time on getting Justin Jordan to come to IPFW. He didn't miss again.

The 5-foot-9 former Indiana All-Star guard from North Side is back in Fort Wayne, and according to him, to stay, after it was revealed that he will enroll at IPFW this January.

Because Jordan played a season at Saint Louis, he won't be eligible to play until January, 2012.

Jordan will probably be a point guard, but with an average of nearly 28 points per game in his senior year at North, he's capable of scoring.

He'll be a welcome addition, particularly since IPFW will be losing seniors guards Ben Botts and Zach Plackemeier.

The guy who should be concerned about playing time getting cut is Jeremy Mixon, who was the heir apparent to one of the guard spots. But Mixon has been in Fife's doghouse lately (again), and sat out the entire game against Tennesseee-Martin.

Steve Warden blogs all things IPFW.
