At the half, it's Erie by four

It's halftime inside The Cooler, aka Memorial Coliseum, and the Erie BayHawks hold a 59-55 lead over the Mad Ants.

The entertainment portion of the afternoon came early, when Ants coach Joey Meyer was handed a technical foul 2:04 into the game and the Ants trailing 8-2 - soon to be 9-2 after the technical free throw was made.

Upset with zero defensive hustle, Meyer called a time out. When handed the clipboard, he slapped it out of an assistant's hand and the board rang to the floor, for which, I guess, he was given the tech.

The Ants fell behind by 16-4, and spent the rest of the second half trying to catch up, but to no avail. The four-point halftime margin is as close as they've gotten.

Darnell Lazare scored 15 points in the second quarter to lead the team in scoring. Walker Russell has 10 points and five assists.

Later, when I'm thawed out.
