Crazy lineup is supposed to start for the Mad Ants against Erie tonight.
First, there is no true center. Chris Hunter, the 6-foot-11 veteran from Michigan, is still recovering from early-season injuries, and his minutes are limited. So he won't be starting in the middle.
Instead, the Ants are starting a pair of forwards in Darnell Lazare and Marvin Phillips.
What should be intersting is to see how a pair of point guards play together in Walker Russell Jr., the star of the team two years ago, and Oliver Lafayette, the star of the team last year.
Both distribute the ball well, but differently. Russell likes to drive and dish, and Lafayette gets the ball to the right people ASAP. Both are capable of scoring well into double figures, with Lafayette getting the edge.
The other starter? It's Rod Wilmont, another guard. But Rod doesn't pass much - thankfully.
See you at the half.
