It could be worse - really

The Mad Ants are trailing Iowa 58-43 at the half Tuesday at Memorial Coliseum. Considering how far they were behind earlier, a 15-point deficit isn't bad.

In what might have been the ugliest stretch of basketball this season for the Ants, they fell behind 41-17 early in the second quarter. This was during a stretch in which the Ants were outscored 16-0, and had missed 14 straight shots, many of them air balls. So 15 down with a half to play isn't bad.

Rod Wilmont leads the team with 16 points, including 4-of-6 from three-point range.
