And Another Thing

Brett Favre

Father's day

Sometimes you read something and the only possible reaction is, "Testify, brother."

I say this after reading that the father of Jenn Sterger, the young woman text-stalked by Brett Favre two years ago, is ready light up the Brettster should he ever meet him in a dark alley.

Sterger's father is furious at Favre and the NFL, and he should be. The NFL's response to this incident -- a $50,000 fine for "failure to cooperate" that amounts to pocket change for Favre -- clearly demonstrates that the league doesn't take this sort of behavior seriously. At least when it involves one of the NFL's icons.

As the father of a daughter myself, I have to say I'm shoulder-to-shoulder with Mr. Sterger. He's pretty much powerless to do anything about it, but I like his style.

I'd steer clear of him if I were you, Brett. You've been beat up enough this year.
