If you haven't heard of this guy yet, you're likely the only person in America who hasn't.
It's an amazing story: Homeless man with a voice airmailed directly from God gets discovered holding one of those Will Work For Food signs in Columbus, Ohio. Gets discovered by a vidoegrapher for the local newspaper. Wind up, a few days later, on the "Today" show, after getting a job offer from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Being the natural pessimist I am, I hope this doesn't end badly. The reason Ted Williams was on the street to begin with, after all, was a long, losing battle with drug and alcohol addiction. He says he's been clean for awhile now, and that he's found God. I certainly hope that's true.
After all, it stinks being a professional skeptic. And it stinks even more when the professional skeptic turns out to be right.
