Irish, Huskies tied at half

The Notre Dame women's team entered halftime tied at 41 with Connecticut.

The No. 13 Irish got everything they needed from their two stars in the opening half.

Guard Skylar Diggins scored a team high 14 points, and forward Devereaux Peters had 13. Even more important, Peters has been active on the glass grabbing eight rebounds – including five on offense. She also has three blocked shots.

Unfortunately for Notre Dame, No. 2 UConn got a similar effort from star forward Maya Moore.

After a slow start for the senior, she scored the Huskies' last nine points and has 17 at halftime.
