A day after de-committing from Notre Dame, defensive end Stephon Tuitt is back with the Irish, according to multiple reports.
The 6-foot-5, 260-pounder from Monroe (Ga.) Area High School had backed out of his commitment to the Irish to attend Georgia Tech on Tuesday.
If Tuitt holds to his latest commitment switch, he will be the seventh defensive end in Notre Dame's recruiting class of 2011.
Tuitt is No. 22 overall prospect and No. 2 defensive end in the nation, according to Rivals.com.
According to the reports, head coach Brian Kelly, defensive coordinator Bob Diaco, secondary coach and recruiting coordinator Chuck Martin and special teams coordinator and defensive line coach Mike Elston met Wednesday with Tuitt.
"I feel like I got some things off my chest," Tuitt told Irish Sports Daily. "Some things about the college and some of the little things and big things. They answered all my questions. I finally have some closer. I'm 100 percent."
Of course, that was Wednesday night. Let's see what Thursday afternoon brings.
Plus, signing day isn't until Feb. 2.
