This has been one unusual period.
Komets center Colin Chaulk got a major penalty and a game misconduct just 42 seconds into the game for kneeing Nick Sirota. Seemed a little harsh to me, especially compared to that recent Danko Mironovic hit on Dayton's Brandon Naurato, but so be it.
On the ensuing power play, Missouri scored two goals on four shots. Then the Mavericks added another power-play goal from Mike Berry (his second), with a delayed penalty coming, for a 3-0 lead.
Needless to say, the fans, and there aren't many of those, are disgusted with the officiating of Colin Kronforst.
The Komets got goals from Tab Lardner, against the team that traded him for future considerations, and Artem Podshendyalov, before Missouri's Toby Lafrance made it 4-2.
