Canterbury's Kreiger honored

Canterbury girls basketball coach Scott Kreiger has been named the 2010 NFHS Coaches Association’s Girls Basketball Coach of the Year for the state of Indiana.

Kreiger is 215-85 in 12-plus seasons as the head coach of the Cavaliers.

His accomplishments include three straight Class A state championships (2007-08, 2008-09, 2009-10), four regional titles, and 10 sectional crowns.

“I am humbled to receive this honor. The NFHS Coaches Association is an important organization in the national coaching hierarchy,” Kreiger said. “I deeply appreciate the hard work that has been put forth by the coaches, players, parents, and staff at Canterbury School; without their tireless efforts, I would never have been considered for this award.”
