Mad Antics

Erie, at last

Ah, Erie, Pa.

I thought I'd never get here.

As I write this, the clock in my hotel room says 9:29, and I've been here for five minutes.

The Mad Ants bus was supposed to leave the team's offices at 1 p.m. today, and we all boarded at 1. Except we had a mechanical malfunction. It was either get the one we had fixed, or get a new one. The people from the bus line thought it would be faster if we got a different one.

So it was 2:06 when we left, picked up the team at their apartments, and headed east to Erie.

Then the snow began to fall ... and fall ... and fall.

We stopped somewhere around Cleveland at Wendy's. Ten large basketball players, the coaching staff, and myself, and the bus driver.

Back on the bus, and we watched the rest of "He Got Game" with Denzel Washington.

The bus is supposed to leave for shoot around at 9:25 tomorrow, so there isn't much time to rest.

Catch up with me Friday.
