Purdue leads Michigan State at halftime

The Boilermakers made 62 percent of their shots in the first half and lead Michigan State, 41-31, at halftime.

E'Twaun Moore made 8 of 12 shots and had 19 first-half points. Lewis Jackson made five of six shots and scored 10 points.

Purdue was able to surge because of its ability to make shots -- but it must rebound better in the second half.

Michigan State held a 17-11 rebounding edge in the half and had nine offensive rebounds to keep possessions alive.

Travis Carroll got the start as Matt Painter went with a two big-man lineup, but Painter has also used Sandi Marcius and the rest of his guards off the bench.
