Breakfast with (some of) the Ants

Apparently I'm the only early riser, since I was down at the hotel restaurant at 9 a.m.

Figured nobody else was coming down, so I went out and found an Erie paper. The top story in the sports section was headlined, " 'HAWKS STEP UP AT HOME. And yes, it was in all capital letters.

Was reading the paper when Anthony Kent, all 6-foot-11 of him, strolled down around 9:20. He came to join me at my table and I told him that he could get a nice omlet.

"I don't eat eggs," he said. So he had a couple bowls of Honey Nut Cheerios, a couple pieces of french toast, and took a couple bananas up to his room.

Then Ants coach Joey Meyer came down and we talked for a while.

He hates this losing streak, which is now six. Said he didn't get to sleep until after 1 a.m.

The team is going to have a film session today at noon, to get ready for tonight's game against the BayHawks.

I'll talk to you after the film study.
