Roger Goodell, the people's commish

So. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says he will cut his $10 million salary to $1 should negotations on the new collective bargaining agreement fail and there's a lockout.

Some people would see this as a magnanimous gesture and an indication that Goodell really is sincere about making sure the fans don't suffer a work stoppage.

Here on the Blob, where being periodically afflicted with cynicism is a standard working condition, opinions vary.

Maybe he's being sincere. Or maybe this is just a cheesy ploy to win the sympathy of the fans in the ongoing public relations tussle between the two sides.

I vote "B."
