My, um, close attention to Stephanie Pearl-McPhee's blog means that I know she was tickled pink that the photo shoot for the cover of this book required a "yarn wrangler."
I regularly prescribe reading the Yarn Harlot to my friends and family. I don't know if they all appreciate it.
Once again, this is an author who writes a daily blog, but still manages to come up with original and fun content for a book. Just amazing.
I think a big part of my attraction to her writing is that she's so down-to-earth, but also good at explaining big ideas about knitting and life. The book, like all of her books, is about knitting, sure, but it's also about way of looking at the world.
In other words, it's part knitting book, part memoir, part manifesto, and all wonderful.
