It's going to be a long weekend

The Komets may be masters of the road, where they've won seven in a row. But they're not masters of their domain.

Late in the second period, they trail the Wichita Thunder 4-0.

They've given up a power-play goal to Matt Robinson, a slow-rolling redirection to Chris Greene, a 2-on-1 to Lance Galbraith and a penalty shot to Jesse Bennefield.

It seems no one heeded the advice of Komets goaltender Nick Boucher, who said before the game that the team must score the first one or two goals.

The Komets have led at the first intermission in only 8 of 20 games at Memorial Coliseum, and they're 0-5-0 when trailing at the first intermission.

Me thinks that's about to become 0-6-0.

And, oh yeah, they get Wichita on Saturday, too.

There are 6,966 fans here, and they're booing as I type.
