There should be a couple side stories to tonight's men's basketball game against Chicago State.
One is to get center Trey McCorkle out of his funk. Outside of a 15-point game against Centenary and a 16-point night against North Dakota State, the 6-foot-10 center has scored 17 points in six games.
But then there is act of keeping 6-7 freshman forward Michael Kibiloski on the floor.
Kibiloski, more than any freshman, has shown a lot of promise this season, but he fouls too much. Silly fouls. Touch fouls. Fouls that he shouldn't commit, but does.
He's fouled out of two games, and over the past four games, he's had four, three, five and four fouls, and the most minutes he's played over that stretch are 17.
By the way, Chicago State's coach, Tracy Dildy, was reportedly one of the finalists for the IPFW job before Dane Fife was fired.
