Woman accused of running over officer

INDIANAPOLIS – A woman who Indianapolis police say was shot after she ran over an Indianapolis police officer has been charged with attempted murder.

Thirty-one-year-old Michelle Marsh was being held on $200,000 bond Tuesday in the Marion County Jail. She also faces charges of aggravated battery and driving while a habitual traffic violator. A jail spokesman didn’t know if she had an attorney.

Court documents filed Monday said Marsh’s car backed over Officer Deanne Pulley on Jan. 30 while Pulley was trying to prevent her from leaving a bar where police had been called to a disturbance. Pulley suffered broken bones and a lacerated liver.

Police shot at the fleeing car, wounding Marsh in the abdomen and arm. Officials said she was detained at a hospital until she was brought to the jail.
