Whitko wins TRC, supports coach

Whitko fans let their support known for ailing coach Rob Irwin on Saturday.

The Whitko boys basketball won the Three Rivers Conference title on Saturday and showed support of coach Rob Irwin at the same time.

The Wildcats beat Manchester 61-34 to improve to 7-0 in the conference and win the league title.

There was also a show of support for Irwin, who is home after underdoing recent treatment for leukemia.

Whitko (14-2) is also ranked in the top five in the state, and has won seven straight despite missing its coach.
