Notre Dame has less than 200 days until it opens next football season at home against South Florida at home, but there is no need to wait that long to see what the Irish will look like coming off a four-game winning streak and a Sun Bowl victory over Miami.
Notre Dame did some spring cleaning Tuesday giving details for the team's spring practice.
The program announced four number changes for current players as Bennet Jackson, who is moving from receiver to cornerback, changed his number from 86 to 2. Louis Nix III went from 67 to 9, Tommy Rees gave up 13 for 11 and Robby Tome traded his 19 for 9.
The five freshmen who enroled early will wear the following numbers in their first season: Kyle Brindza 27, Brad Carrico 56, Everett Golson 5, Aaron Lynch 19 and Ishaq Williams 1
The Irish will practice on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday starting on March 23 during the 15-practice period with the team working out in the morning. Times will be announced at a later date.
The Blue-Gold spring game is set for April 16.
There will also be the coaches clinic March 24 to 26.
