Wayne boys bowlers in state

The Wayne boys bowling team advanced to the state finals for the first time.

The Generals finished second in the Muncie Semistate on Feb. 12 to earn a way to Saturday's state finals in Anderson.

Wayne, the only boys team from Fort Wayne to advance to state, finished second behind Huntington North.

Team members are: Justin Brant, Nick Harmeyer, Nick Best, Jordan Owens, Christian Harmeyer, Casey Nash, Josh Rood and coach Matt Burbrink.
