Purdue leads Wisconsin at halftime

Purdue has played with energy and purpose in a pivotal game.

And it's gotten them a 31-25 lead over Wisconsin.

Jon Leuer, the Badgers' best player, spent the final 7:42 on the bench with two fouls. When Leuer left, Purdue led by one.

Leuer had eight points in 12 minutes.

The Boilermakers did force six turnovers, which is significant for Wisconsin. The Badgers average just less than eight per game.

JaJuan Johnson has made 4 of 7 shots and all four of his free throws to lead Purdue with 12 points. E'Twaun Moore has seven, and Lewis Jackson has five points, three assists and no turnovers.

D.J. Byrd started, played 14 minutes and had five points and four rebounds. He's also guarded Leuer.
