Purdue can use all its weapons tonight against No. 10 Wisconsin.
So if versatile D.J. Byrd is able to play, it will help.
Byrd, who made a late basket in Madison that gave the Boilermakers a brief lead, injured his left hip Sunday at Illinois. He played only four minutes in the second half.
But Byrd warmed up before the game and practiced on Tuesday. It's likely he'll try to play.
- Slow-to-arrive crowd here. About 20 minutes before tip and the student section isn't full and there's a sparse crowd elsewhere. The game is a sell out, so it's possible fans are slow to get here for the earlier start time. But this place needs to be packed and rocking to help spark the Boilermakers.
- If Ryne Smith breaks away for a dunk -- obviously not a common sight -- be ready for a potential special celebration. During warmups, Packers fan Smith pulled out Aaron Rodgers' belt-wearing move.
