Streak stopped in Komets’ loss

The Komets fell on the road to Bloomington 3-1 Wednesday.

The loss snapped the Komets’ two-game winning streak.

Mathieu Curadeau put the Komets up 1-0 in the first period on a power-play goal.

Fort Wayne (20-19-5) was outscored by Bloomington (26-16-3) 3-0 the rest of the way.

The PrairieThunder had a single goal in each period.

Goalie Kevin Reiter had 27 saves, but his two-game shutout streak came to an end. Fort Wayne was outshot 30-25.

Also on Wednesday, The AHL’s Springfield Falcons returned defenseman Michael Ratchuk to the Komets. Ratchuk has three assists in three games with the Komets and one goal in 15 games with Springfield.
