Not much so far

The Komets and Dayton Gems are scoreless after one period at Memorial Coliseum, though the Komets lead 12-0 in shots on goal.

A couple things I have noticed: Jon Mirasty is getting a more regular shift so far, even with some of the Komets' top players (Colin Chaulk, Mathieu Curadeau); and Michael Ratchuk is fun to watch.

Ratchuk is very fast and nifty with the puck; he'll tear it up at this level.

Beyond that, it's been a fast-paced but rather uneventful game so far.
