The opponent's view

Here's what Northwestern coach Bill Carmody had to say following the Wildcats' 70-64 victory against Indiana.

"We had a nice lead going into the half and they came out in the second half and 'poof.' It came down to a lot of foul shots (Northwestern went 21 of 25, including 10 of 12 in the second half. IU went 14 of 19, including four straight misses – two by Jeremiah Rivers and two more by Derek Elston – with 3:58 remaining). Thompson came up big for the most part and Shurna made some big plays.

"… We had stops the last three or four times. We made some foul shots and they missed a few big free throws at the end."
