Smackdown time

What a mess getting into Memorial Coliseum tonight because of WWE Smackdown Live, a sold out wrestling event in the Expo Center.

Speaking of ridiculous sports things, what do you all think of the Jon Mirasty video the Komets have been playing before the game? It essentially is like a behind-the-scenes ultimate fighting/boxing/hockey commercial.

My only problem with it is that they use that as the video to pump up the crowd before the game? Then, they hardly play the guy. The whole thing doesn't fit. It's like, here's this guy we have, but we're not going to show him to you in actuality. My complaint isn't with the video, or even using the video at some point during games, and it's certainly not with the amount of ice time Mirasty is getting, not when the Komets have won 12 of 14 games. It's that they use that as the one thing they are going to highlight above all else, and it just doesn't seem to fit with everything else going on.

It would fit nicely at the Expo Center tonight, though.
