Notre Dame crushed Villanova in the final home game of the season for the Irish on Monday in Purcell Pavilion.

The No. 8 Irish defeated the Wildcats 93-72 and picked up more than just a win on Senior Night.

Notre Dame's victory clinches a double-bye in the Big East tournament, gives it a perfect home record 17-0 for the third time in five seasons and the Irish did it by hitting a record 20 three-pointers.

Irish guard Ben Hansbourgh and forward Tim Abromaitis each had 30 points in the victory. Abromaitis made nine three-pointers, and Hansbrough made seven three-pointers.

Notre Dame improved to 24-5 overall and 13-4 in the Big East. The Irish are a half game behind Pittsburgh for first in the conference and finish the season at Connecticut on Saturday.

Pitt (25-4, 13-3) plays at South Florida on Wednesday and finishes the season at home against Villanova on Saturday.
